St. John&#8217;s is a premier medical institution in India. Palliative Care began as a unit of Anesthesia in the year 2000 and was converted into a department in 2008 in the institution. St. John&#8217;s was the first to start an undergraduate medical and nursing training program in palliative care in India. Dr. Nair&#8217;s focus is on integrating non-malignant diseases with palliative care.
