At the undergraduate level, he coordinates the module Palliative Medicine and is responsible for the implementation of palliative care within the other undergraduate modules. In the Master Nursing Care program, he teaches &#8216;Care Ethics.&#8217; He chairs and coordinates the Interuniversity Palliative Medicine Postgraduate Course. Within the Department of Primary and Interdisciplinary Health Care and also in cooperation with the Department of Nursing Care, he is developing a strong line in palliative care research. He is project leader of the &#8216;Huisarts in Palliatieve Zorg&#8217; Programma (HiPP), a Golden Standards Framework inspired, interactive ICT-based educational program, allowing general practitioners to ameliorate and to evaluate the quality of the palliative care they deliver. From 2009-2010, by order of the Flemisch Governement and of the Flemisch Organization of Palliative Care, Dr. Van Den Eynden lead a research group in developing a Palliative Care Pathway (ZPPZ).
