Dr. Agnes Calsina received her Medical Doctor in 2004 from the University of Barcelona. In 2008, Agnes was a medical intern in the Palliative Care Department at the Catalan Institute of Oncology where here duties consisted of clinical care for the bio-psychosocial and spiritual needs of home care patients. In 2009 she completed her training as a Medical Intern in the specialty of Family and Community Medicine at Hospitalet de Llobregat where she attended to acute urgent pathologies and home care for chronic patients. She was lead author for the article 'Delirium in Advanced Oncology Patients admitted in a Palliative Care United printed in Medicina Paliativa and primary researcher on the project 'Descriptive study on the interferente in sleep in patients with pain in Primary Health Care'. Agnes has always had the desire to treat the 'whole' patient rather than just the disease which brought her to seek out an International Fellowship at The Institute for Palliative Medicine at San Diego Hospice in July 2009.
