Dr. Boughey has been a palliative care physician for more than 21 years. At St Vincent's Health, Mark oversees a number of hospitals, health and prison facilities, including two inpatient palliative care units and a large palliative care consultation service. Mark's focus is education program initiatives, development and delivery, including the new coordinated statewide palliative medicine training program and nurse practitioner collaborative.
His experience has been working across all sectors of palliative care as well as spending four years as the Director of Palliative Care for the Northern Territory of Australia, providing and developing services for the rural and remote indigenous people and their communities. Mark currently serves as the palliative care representation on a number of national and state palliative medicine committees.
