Sammy's Story: Voices for Palliative Care in Kenya
In Kenya, hundreds of thousands of children suffer from HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other illnesses. They often experience severe, debilitating pain. Morphine and other medicines can cheaply and easily bring relief, but very few sick children receive them. This is Sammy's story.
There is an urgent need for palliative care globally. In this inspiring video, palliative care is provided to hospice patients living in Kenya, a region where many patients have no running water, no proper sanitation, and are confined to their homes.
